OrySpa is one of our local brands that uses natural/organic ingredients. I just saw my colleague's review on their shampoo and conditioner so I gave it a try. I'm so glad I did. I usually rotate shampoo and conditioner monthly so this month it's OrySpa's turn.
Rice Bran Shampoo with Gugo & Aloe Vera
It contains rice bran oil which has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties that prevents dandruff and other scalp disorders. It also contains aloe vera and the coveted gugo bark in the Philippines. The latter contains large amount of saponin, responsible for hair cleansing and hair growth.
I picked this because of the aloe vera content, although at first I noticed a few hair fall, but a couple of days later my hair fall lessened. It doesn't lather much and my hair feels kinda sticky while rinsing it (its a good sign though because you know it doesn't contain harmful chemicals).
The good:
-triclosan-free
-triclocarban-free
-paraben-free
-light scent but it lasts the whole day
The not so good:
-hair feels sticky when rinsing
-hair feels kinda heavy at night and starts to get a bit oily
-hair get tangled easily if you didn't put conditioner after shampooing
-no expiry date
Rice Bran Conditioner with Olive Oil
OrySpa says: It keeps your hair healthy and your scalp clean by harnessing the natural and anti-fungal properties of rice bran oil. Feel the intense moisturizing effect of Olive Oil and Aloe Vera as it keeps your hair frizz-free and manageable.
And I have to mention, it smells divine! It has a citrusy smell and my hair really feels soft and smooth.
The good:
-triclosan-free
-triclocarban-free
-paraben-free
-easy to rinse
-light scent but it lasts the whole day
-hair feels soft and smooth
The not so good:
-no expiry date
Will I repurchase?
Since I rotate shampoo and conditioner almost monthly, I'm not sure when I can get back to OrySpa, but I would like to try their AM blend variant.
Where to buy:
OrySpa has branches nationwide or you can purchase through their official website
Note: Different people may have different reactions to natural products
P.S. When I purchase stuff online, I also get other items to try so I can save on shipping (well, that's just an excuse for me to hoard more LOL). I'll post a review on them too, soon. Thank you for reading my blog :)
